BUILD · IMPROVEOne coordinated spring visit for the lawn, accessible beds and hard surfaces. Serving west Edmonton and north Edmonton west of 97 Street.
Winter leaves more behind than snow. Loose leaves, matted grass and seasonal debris can make the yard feel unfinished just as you are ready to use it again. JPPM’s spring yard cleanup brings the quoted lawn, accessible garden beds and hard surfaces into one coordinated visit, preparing the property for regular mowing and outdoor use.
Spring Cleanup is separately quoted. It is not automatically included with either weekly or biweekly lawn mowing. We review property size, access and the condition of the yard before confirming the scope. Tell us about heavy buildup or areas needing extra attention so the proposal reflects the work you actually want completed.
Power raking addresses loose dead grass and thatch on lawn areas suitable for the work. Core aeration is included where the ground and turf conditions permit. Wet areas, new sod or weakened turf may require an adjustment to those tasks. The lawn cut and trim complete the quoted spring visit, with the approach guided by the property’s condition.
Ordinary leaves and seasonal surface debris are collected from the agreed lawn and hardscape areas. Accessible loose debris can be blown from garden beds; that does not include detailed hand work around every plant. Two standard 55-gallon contractor disposal bags are included. Your quote states the extra disposal rate, keeping the amount included and any additional collection understandable before service.
Edmonton snowmelt does not leave every property ready on the same day. A shaded backyard can remain wet after the front lawn has dried. Tell us when your property is substantially free of snow and the service areas have dried enough for foot traffic and equipment. That information helps us organise the route around yards that are ready for work.
The normal Spring Cleanup season runs through April and May, generally ending May 31, as weather and ground conditions allow. A readiness notice helps with planning but does not reserve an immediate visit or guarantee a requested date. We provide notice when practical and communicate if conditions affect the schedule. Request the quote before the spring rush, then keep us informed as the yard becomes ready.
Standard spring cleanup assumes ordinary annual care and a typical amount of seasonal debris. Photos help us assess heavier leaf cover, multiple seasons of buildup or areas that are difficult to reach. Large branches, construction material, soil, rock and pet waste need to be identified rather than treated as ordinary loose winter debris.
Dedicated pine needle or pine cone removal and detailed garden-bed care are separate scopes. Normal variation in leaves is expected; if a larger property reset is needed, we discuss the work and any additional approval before proceeding beyond the disclosed charges. Full conditions are available in the Spring Cleanup Terms & Conditions. The service page helps you choose the work; your accepted quote identifies the areas and disposal arrangements.
Unlock the gates, keep pets away from the service areas and remove loose toys, hoses, cords and other obstacles. Move vehicles that block quoted hard surfaces. Identify sensitive plants or unclear boundaries so the crew can follow the property instructions. You do not need to be home when access is arranged and the scope is approved.
Before aeration, mark irrigation heads, shallow private lines, invisible fencing and other features that could be hidden in the lawn. Turn irrigation off during service. Clear access helps us finish the agreed work in one visit and document anything that needs follow-up. Recurring mowing afterwards can be arranged separately; choose weekly, biweekly or temporary mowing according to the lawn and your preferred level of care.
JPPM serves all of west Edmonton and north Edmonton west of 97 Street. Northwest Edmonton is part of that service area. Send your full street address with the work you need so we can prepare a scope and confirm scheduling availability for the property.
For regular lawn mowing and snow shovelling, the property instructions and seasonal route plan keep service organised. Landscaping, hardscaping, deck and fence projects are assessed around access, preparation, materials and the intended result. You work with the same St. Albert-based company and involved owners across our service area. Our Approach

Standard cleanup addresses accessible loose leaves and seasonal surface debris. Weeding, detailed hand-cleaning and restoration are separate work.
Two 55-gallon contractor disposal bags are included. The quote identifies the additional bag or disposal rate.
Tell us which areas are ready and which remain wet or snowy. The visit and individual turf tasks depend on suitable conditions; a readiness notice does not guarantee an immediate appointment.
Send the address, photos and any unusual buildup. We will prepare the Spring Cleanup scope and disposal arrangements.
